Someone stronger has come. We were held under guard imprisoned. We were not free. We were held captive to the strong man kept up to sin, despair to death until someone even stronger came and he attacked our captor overpowered him, stripped him of his weapons and carried us off into freedom and life in Him. Jesus is the one who is stronger. He is the one who has come to deliver us out of darkness and into his light and his love. Verse 22, until someone even stronger attacks and overpowers that strong man, stripping him of his weapons and carrying off his belongings. And that day has come on the cross he disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross. We are free because Jesus is stronger Amen.
