TODAY'S EPISODE: Grace Is Enough to Build Your Life Upon
In today's readings, we encounter two very different understandings of God and the life of faith.

In Job 15, Eliphaz continues to insist that Job's suffering must somehow be the consequence of his wrongdoing. He sees the world through a framework of reward and punishment, where suffering is evidence of God's displeasure. But Job's story challenges these easy assumptions and invites us to reconsider what we think we know about God.

In Acts 19–20, we follow Paul through Ephesus and into his farewell address to the elders of the church. We see the transforming power of the gospel as people turn away from fear, superstition, and the systems that have held them captive.

And then Paul offers these remarkable words:
"And now I entrust you to God and the message of his grace that is able to build you up." (Acts 20:32, NLT)

Today's readings invite us to consider where our confidence truly rests. Is it in our ability to get everything right? Or is it in the grace of God revealed to us in Jesus Christ?
