Someone greater than King David is coming. And this king is not coming to conquer by the shed blood of others. Rather he has come to shed his own blood on behalf of others. The spoils of war for this king are not silver, gold and bronze. No the spoils of his victory are people, nations, the world, far more precious than any gold. He has come for sinners, tax collectors, prostitutes, ordinary fishermen, and anyone who has been humbled by the defeats of war. It could be the wars in their own life, in their relationships, in health, finances, ministry, so many ways that we've experienced defeat. He calls for all the women and men who are ready to wave the white flag of surrender to the humble, conquering king who comes riding on a borrowed donkey. He gives his own life in order to offer victory to the defeated. So let's look because our king is coming. He is humble riding on a donkey. And this king says to all the defeated ones, come to me, all of you, who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, let me teach you because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear. And the burden I give you is light. Look, the king is coming. See how humble he is. Allow his victorious life to live in and through you as you rejoice in him. That's the prayer that I have for my own soul. That's the prayer that I have for my family from my wife and my daughters and my son. And that's a prayer that I have for you may be so

You are loved!
