Day 43: Leviticus 18 - 19, Psalm 13, and Acts 19

The Kingdom of God is Here.  Join Him in It.

Leviticus 18 - 19, Psalm 13, and Acts 19

Paul’s got a message he’s preaching in Ephesus. He keeps preaching this same message.  Let’s not miss the message.  It’s found here in verse 8.

Then Paul went to the synagogue and preached boldly for the next three months, arguing persuasively about the Kingdom of God.  (Acts 19:8 NLT)

What is Paul’s message to the world?  The kingdom of God is here.  The king has arrived  And his kingdom is overturning the kingdoms of this world,  The kingdom of God has come and people’s lives are being transformed. People are being liberated from their slavish bondage to other gods.  People are being forgiven.  Barriers are being broken.  Jews and Greeks are coming together.  The love of Christ is being known and lives, communities, are being changed - because the King has come and his kingdom is here.

Has God begun to disrupt and overturn the competing kingdoms in your heart?  He will.  That’s what he does.  That’s what happens when the king arrives and establishes his kingdom.   God cannot serve someone else agenda, he has his own agenda. He has his own agenda.  And it differs radically from Artemis.  Or any other God.   Demetrius the silversmith had it right.  He has an agenda for your life too.  It might require the dismantling of any agendas you have placed above his.  And when he begins invading all the areas of your life, you might find yourself in some serious turmoil like the people of Ephesus.  But god will not be deterred . He is fully committed to you, to establishing your life fully into the circle of his love. In the Kingdom of our God and Christ.    That's where you were created to be.   His message has not changed, “the Kingdom of God is here.

You are loved!
