Our lives are like water spilled on the ground, which cannot be gathered up again. These are the wise words of the woman of Tecoa. She goes on to say, but God does not just sweep life away. Instead, he devises ways to bring us back when we have been separated from him.  Wasted water, that's what she says our life can be. But God has devised a way to transform wasted water into life giving water. God has made a way to gather us up into himself through a king who is far greater than David, through his Son. Our King Jesus knows how to gather up water that was once spilled. He can take our spilled bitter water and exchange it for his life giving water. He's gathered us up into himself. We are now one with him. Not separated. But one. He's gathered us up in his love and made us new. look to him and drink deep of his Waters of Life. Amen.
