MAY 30, IT IS WHAT IT IS - FREE AND UNDESERVED
Our readings today are Proverbs 13-15, and Romans 11. We are reading through the New Living Translation.
It is what it is. Paul wants us to know that what it really is, is FREE and UNDESERVED. He tells us in verse 6:
And since it is through God’s kindness, then it is not by their good works. For in that case, God’s grace would not be what it really is—free and undeserved.
There’s enough love to go around to everyone, Jew and Gentile alike. It is awesome and beyond knowing.
Oh, how great are God’s riches and wisdom and knowledge! How impossible it is for us to understand his decisions and his ways! (Rm 11:33)
It is what it is – awesome, undeserved Grace – available to all who are willing to trust in Him. It is about what He has done for me, not what I do for him. It’s about Him. Live in the light of this unsearchable mercy and grace today.
