GOD’S GOT THIS
Our readings today are Proverbs 4 – 6 and Romans 8. We are reading from the New Living Translation.
God does what our bodies cannot do. God achieves what our sinful natures fail to achieve. The beginning of Romans 8 says,
So God did what the law could not do. He sent his own Son in a body like the bodies we sinners have. And in that body God declared an end to sin’s control over us by giving his Son as a sacrifice for our sins. (8:3)
There are some things that we just cannot do on our own. We, and our world, are just broken, to us it might seem, beyond repair or redemption or hope. But not to God, all things are possible with God, No my friend, God sent us Mr. Hope himself, his son, in a body like we sinners have. And in that Body, he brought us the life he shares with the Father and the Spirit, and vision of what our lives can be like, as we agree with him, and walk in his spirit. The hope and reality of resurrection life can begin right now.
Friends, you are loved.
Friends, you are loved by God, he has united himself to you just as you are, in his son. There is no separating you from that love. And now, because of what Christ has done for you, you are invited to allow his life to live in and through you, by his Spirit. Be reminded of that You belong to him. Allow the life of Christ that lives in you, to find fuller expression through you, in everything you do.
