Daily Radio Bible Podcast

What news are you listening to?  Is it fake news or real news?  Something’s informing your life and telling you what’s true and untrue.

Fake news can come to us through our past and through people.  Experiences from our past leave their mark on us.  They’ve bruised us and we need to be healed from them.  We need to have healing words spoken over those wounds.  And the same thing can happen with people.  Sometimes the people we’ve been with have spoken words to us that are not true: You’re never going to change. You shouldn’t even try.  You’re not worth the time.  Those kinds of words are fake news.  Those words don’t offer us wisdom or salvation. They don’t teach us what is right.  They simply say that we are wrong.  That’s not the Good News of the Bible. That’s not the true news of the Scripture.  Paul tells us that all Scripture is from God and is profitable.  It’s useful to teach us.  It corrects us, yes, but it also teaches us the truth that set us free and establishes us in the life we have in Jesus.  Fake news will run you down into the ground and never let you up.  But the Good News that Paul is talking about is this:

God uses it (His Word)to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.  (II Tim 3:17 NLT)

So what kind of news are you listening to ?  Is it fake news or real news?  Establish your soul, heart, and life in what is real.  The real good news of the Gospel says, Christ now lives in you, by faith, and through Him you can change, grow, and experience life, here and now. Sink your roots down into this truth!

You are loved!
