Today's Devotional:

Jesus has come with the Father, in the anointing of the Spirit, to shine their light into this dark world, to remake and restore their light in life, to all of creation.

God has done this. hear these words again in verse 46, "I have come as a light to shine in this dark world, so that all who put their trust in me, will no longer remain in the dark. I will not judge those who hear me, but don't obey me. For I have come to save the world, and not to judge it."

Together, they announced the light of God upon all of humanity and to creation, the light has come, and you don't have to light that fire God has. You are the recipient, the beneficiary of that light. And you can do nothing to bring that about in yourself. That is an act of God, His grace, and his love for the world.

This is a statement of fact not a proposition that you must pray to receive, or something you must qualify for by being really pious. No, it already is. It is already true. God has come in Christ to shine his light in this dark world. Whether you choose to live in that light or not.

And he's come not to judge you. The light of Christ rests upon you right now. Before you ever do a thing. You are forgiven. You are embraced in the life of the Trinity. begin to agree with God and what he has done. The weight of  judgment, from the darkness that you insist upon, will continue to condemn and judge you. respond to the light of God's love and embrace and be healed.

You are loved!
