Today's Devotional:

The Word of God is alive and powerful. Like a sword, it cuts away all that is not of love. And this no doubt is a scary and painful proposition, to be exposed to be naked before God. But we have always been naked before God. We've just never realized it. Sure, we cover ourselves with all manner of things, hoping to cover up and hide, thinking that there is some safety or benefit and doing this. But nakedness before God is not a bad thing. In fact, that's what we were made for. To live without shame, without the need to cover and conceal, to be naked, exposed, unselfconscious to be free. This is what God has always intended. And this is what the living word of God has come to do. Jesus has come to reveal to us who God is. To make a way for us to be free from the delusion that our sin and shame have blinded us with and to reveal to us our union with God, the God who sees us, the God who frees us, the God who loves us.

Today know that you are seen.  God sees you. You no longer need to live in shame, hiding, concealing. He sees you just as you are. There he meets you. There you are known, forgiven and loved. Amen.

You are loved!
