Let's not make it difficult. That's what James said, Let's not make it difficult for these people to walk with God. And yet religion wants to put things in the way and make things difficult. And yet, Paul, the apostles are convinced that there is nothing that stands in the way of you experiencing the love of God, and walking with Him. Religion wants to stand in the way, there's so much in this world that will get in the way.

But what does it mean to be in? Who is in who's out? Does it require some kind of human effort or even a human procedure like circumcision? That was the question that was being asked. On the face of it, it seems like such a human and pedestrian question. Yet, if we aren't careful, things will quickly get complicated. God gave up his life for us, through His Son, he died on the cross for us, he defeated death and sin for us. And that life that he now gives, is free to everyone. Everyone is included in it. He's given it to all people, Jews and Gentiles, men and women, boys and girls. Acts 15:9 says, how simple it really is. He made no distinction between us and them. For He cleansed their hearts through faith. We believe that we are all saved the same way by the undeserved grace of the Lord Jesus. If we aren't careful. We'll make this life of simple faith, a complicated, heavy walk of works. We're all tempted here. But the truth is, even the things that we insist on to save us will fail us. Peter said so why are you now challenging God by burdening the Gentile believers, with a yoke that neither we nor our ancestors were able to bear? Why do we burden our hearts and the hearts of others with things that we cannot carry? And yet that's what the human heart wants to do. Jesus asks us to put it all down, we are offered something so much more simple. grace through faith. Nothing stands in the way of you, fully experiencing the love of God. Come to God, simply by faith, trusting in the grace offered to you. It's so simple. It's not complicated. And it's yours. There's a letter sent to you today, coming all the way from Jerusalem, verified by a couple of witnesses. And the letter wants you to know the very simple, profound truth that you don't need to make it complicated. Put away all those things that you're wanting to add, and instead receive today. Here's the gift of love. Live in the simplicity of faith in Christ alone. He is enough. And that's a prayer that I have for my own soul. That's a prayer that I have for my family for my wife, my daughters, my son. And that's a prayer that I have for you. May it be so

You are loved!
