Day 85: You are a Part of God’s Symphony Judges 1 - 3 and I Corinthians 12:

You are a Part of God’s Symphony

Judges 1 - 3 and I Corinthians 12

You have a part to play.  You have your own note to add to God’s great symphony.  He’s composing the most beautiful symphony the world has ever known. It is a song of deliverance, freedom and love, and you have a part to play.  You get to add your sound to God’s amazing symphonic masterpiece.

We actually get the word personality from the latin word, persona - meaning, literally ‘your sound’. God has created you to make a specific sound, and he wants you to add your sound to his great song.    God tells us in Ephesians 2:10:

For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

You are his poema - his poem, his masterpiece.  And God has expertly crafted you to be right in the place where you are - to be who you are - part of that is accepting your humanity, you should do this, because God has, he has accepted your humanity.  He knows all your secrets, he knows, how frail you are, he knows that we all have clay feet, and are but dust.  But he also, knows that now, in Christ, you have become a partaker in the Divine nature of God.  You are divine dust.  You are deeply valued and cherished by God.  Part of our Journey is learning to discover what it means to be a Partakers in the Divine life of God.  This does not mean that you are God, but it does mean that God has embraced you into his life, and now you are his Child.  We must learn both of these things, as we learn to play our part in God’s symphony well  Our humanity, and participation in the life of God.

Saint Irenaeus, living in the second century said, The glory of God is man fully alive.  And Paul wants to challenge all of us, together, as the Body of Christ, to play our part - to do what Christ has created us to do. Because of Christ living in us now, we actually can!  Before, we couldn’t.  We were trapped.  But now we are set free by his Spirit living in us.  He enables us to live out our destiny in Christ, to play our part, to make our sound.  We can add our note to that amazing symphony that God is crafting through history.  And it is all to the glory of Him.

Play your part.  Add your note.  Do it with all your heart and soul.

You are loved!
