We Need to be Filled: Proverbs 30-31, Psalm 33, and Ephesians 1

We Need to be Filled

Today’s readings today are Proverbs 30-31, Psalm 33, and Ephesians 1 and are read from the New Living Translation.

I need to be filled.  There are gaping holes in my life.  There are missing pieces. much has been broken, much is missing, I am empty and need to be filled.  I am 56 years old and see this now, more than ever.

Paul knows what it’s like to know that he needs to be filled. Paul sees that God, in his wisdom, has come.   He has come for humanity, his children, that we might be filled and restored.  Ephesians 1: 8 says:

Paul repeatedly says in this one chapter, that Christ is going to fill all things, with himself.

Christ has united us, to himself, included us, in the life he shares with the father and the spirit. We have been made full and complete in him.  He is making new, all those empty unfinished places in our lives.

Today, be reminded that  Christ has come to fill all things with himself, and make all things new. That includes you.   Receive this promise of Christ’s filling, today, and every day.

You are loved!
