Imagine a day with Jesus; beginning your day with him, having coffee with him, driving to work with him, just sharing your day with Jesus. And as you spend this day with him, you soon realize that this is a day like no other, It's a day without judgment, a day without fear, a day without condemnation. It's a day in God's presence. And you're free. Imagine a day like that. How could anything be better than that? That's what these boys, these disciples, to one degree or another experienced, not just one day, but for three years. They were with him day in, day out. It's hard to imagine anything better than that. But here in john 16, Jesus tells them that he has to go, he has to leave them because there's something better in john 16:7, he says, it is best for you that I go away because if I don't, the advocate won't come. If I do go away, then I'll send it to him. Like I said, it's hard to imagine things being any better than Jesus being with us day in day out. But that was only true for these twelve. These twelve were having their eyes opened to who God was, what he was really like, their eyes were being open to the self giving radically forgiving, co suffering, love of God. And that love was not just for some, but for all, even his enemies. It's better because when the advocate comes, he will awaken not just 12. But all, the world will begin to see who God really is. What God is really like, the Spirit of God will be poured out on all flesh, and the beauty of God, the glory of God will one day be all, and in all. The presence of Christ in us. This, Jesus says is the best thing. God's best is yours, today. Christ's presence is with you today. Whether you're in Cincinnati, Ohio, Somerset, New Jersey, Perth, Australia, Sao Paulo, Brazil, the world is being awakened to who God really is. Jesus came from the Father, into the world. And now he has returned to the Father. But he did what was best. He sent the advocate the Spirit of Christ, to come and abide in you, to awaken you to the presence of God in your life. So that you can live this day without condemnation, without fear, in God's peace and in His joy. And that is the prayer that I have for my own soul today. That I'll do that. That I'll experience that. That's the prayer that I have for my family too for my wife and my daughters and my son. And that's a prayer that I have for you. May it be so

You are loved!
